Last week we had a couple who chose to get married on the North Pole Express.  It's my understanding that the groom works for a railroad.  They had reserved one of the caboose's and had the wedding on their way to Ashley.  Our mayor, Bruce Andersen, called them up to Santa's platform and introduced them to the crowd.

We had scrambled to gather up some gifts for the newlyweds and presented them to the couple.

Santa had the whole crowd serenade them with "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" complete with a red nose for the groom.

Last Saturday was our Princess Tea and Milk and Cookies with Santa.

Our Snow Queen and Elsa and Anna.  Thank you Megan Andrews, Cindy Hurst and Julie Pontack for your appearance.  We greatly appreciate it and you all looked so beautiful.

Not everyone liked Santa.

A couple of elves helped Santa out.

We love to shop and here's a couple more shops.  The candied nut shop also has lots of beautiful ornaments for sale.

And at a nut shop we can buy delicious candied almonds and pecans.

And it's great fun to watch them cook the nuts the old fashioned way in a kettle. And when you walk up to the shop the smell is wonderful.

At the Czech bakery you can buy beautiful garnet jewelry.

And of course the best thing in the bakery is the traditional Czech pastries.  They have samples and if you ask they'll tell you all about the pastries.

We have Country Christmas souvenirs for sale at Souvenir Station inside The Emporium.  You need a wristband to enter The Emporium but you can go in free when the train is not in town.  Here's some of the logo items that we have for sale.  We also have tee shirts, sweat shirts, hats and scarves for sale.
