The Village of Ashley is busy preparing for the return of
the North Pole Express. We’ve been busy
hanging wreaths, putting up lights and decorating light poles. We have lots of things planned for you to
do. There are crafts for kids at the
Enchanted Forest, face painting, balloon animals, Santa’s workshop, chain saw
carver, glass blowers, wagon rides, carnival rides, kids games, see Santa’s
reindeer, kids games, the Believe bell tree, writing letters to Santa, see the
trees decorated by the Ashley school children, kids crafts at the Elba Twp
office, street entertainment, visit the hobo camp and most important of all is
a visit to Santa and Mrs. Claus and get a bell to put on the bell tree.
We have lots of shopping with Penny Lane, The Lattice
Company and Peggy Sue’s Boutique. And my
favorite thing is lots of places to eat.
The Ashley Community Center has sloppy joe’s and hot dogs, the Hobo
Kitchen has soup and bread, Bearadise Foods has pulled pork sandwiches, walking
taco’s and treats, Gus’ Saloon and Eatery has a traditional turkey buffet and
more. For sweet treats try the Czech
Bakery, hot roasted nuts, Phillips Orchard food wagon, Browns elephant ears and
funnel cakes. And new this year is our
Sweet Shop where you can get home made treats and visit the souvenir shop.
